Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 June 2026
This policy is provided in good faith and is drafted around the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. It is not legal advice. If you serve customers in other countries, additional rules may apply (for example, the GDPR for EU customers).

This Privacy Policy explains how Isura Gamage, trading as Cladra ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use Cladra, our cladding cut-optimisation application. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

1.Information we collect

2.How we use it

3.Where your work is stored — and what stays on your device

Cladra runs the optimiser in your browser, on your own device. The PDF drawings and spreadsheets you import to measure or load panels from are processed entirely on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. Your confidential drawings stay with you.

Cladra also auto-saves your work locally in your browser so you don't lose progress. When you have an account and choose to save a project to the cloud, we store only the resulting panel data — panel sizes, quantities, materials, sheet sizes, and layouts — on our hosting provider's servers (Supabase — Northeast Asia (Seoul)), so you can reopen your projects across sessions and devices. The original drawing and spreadsheet files are not part of that saved data.

Each account can access only its own saved projects; we use database access controls so one customer's data is not visible to another.

4.Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Some providers may store or process information overseas; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable privacy protection.

5.Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe and to respond promptly to any issue.

6.Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data; we'll do so unless we're required to keep some of it.

7.Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you and to correct it if it's wrong. To make a request, email us at hello@getcladra.com. If you're not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can contact the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

8.Cookies and local storage

Cladra uses cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and auto-save your work. We may use limited analytics to understand how the app is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

9.Children

Cladra is a tool for the building and construction trade and is not intended for children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll give reasonable notice through the app or by email. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
